A pay rise for public sector workers

We’ve announced that almost 900,000 public sector workers, including doctors, teachers and police officers, will see above-inflation pay rises.

Reopening of Rayleigh Police Station?

Conservative councillors Mike Steptoe and Mrs Cheryl Roe, put forward the following motion at the Rochford District Council meeting on 14th July to reinstate the front counter service at Rayleigh Police Station, which was closed in 2016.

Free Face Masks

Face masks will be made mandatory in shops across England from July 24 and anyone caught without one can be fined up to £100.

Enforcement will be entirely down to the police, although the Government has said shops will be expected to play a part.
